Southwest Georgia Children’s Alliance Inc

The SOWEGA Online Resource Directory project was a organized by the UGA Archway Partnership, which links on-campus resources with community needs. Archway worked with the Master of Internet Program & Southwest Georgia (SOWEGA) Children’s Alliance Inc to develop the initial criteria of the project. After initial scope was created, our team of 5 took over all communication with the client and project. We worked with the stakeholders to determine the business needs, and develop project goals and scope. and developed uses cases.

The project goal was to create “an interactive online interface for end-users to find community resources to meet their self-identified needs in Sumter County”

The scope of the project:

  1. Searchable front-end web user interface for community resources
  2. MySQL database backend to hold resource data
  3. Contact form to contact SOWEGA Children’s Alliance, Inc.
  4. Geolocation of resources
  5. Website analytics
  6. Operations & Maintenance Manual

At the end of the project, we went beyond our scope and redesigned the Southwest Georgia Children’s Alliance Inc entire website, logo and created an online resource directory and user manual.

Since that initial site conversion, the relationship has continued to today. In July 2015, the site was updated to be responsive and mobile friendly.
